“Cool Kids” for anxiety

Cool Kids is an online parenting program for children and teenagers with anxiety or anxiety-like symptoms. There are 3 programs:

  1. Cool Little Kids for parents of 3-6-year-olds
  2. Cool Kids for parents and children aged 7-12 years old
  3. Chilled Out Online for teenagers aged 13-17 years old

 

Cool Little Kids Online

An online program for parents of 3-6-year-olds with excessive shyness, separation anxiety and lack of confidence.

“Cool Little Kids Online is an online parenting program that aims to increase the confidence of young children, so that they have fewer anxiety problems as they grow. It is based on the world-renowned Cool Little Kids program developed at Macquarie University. The program uses the principles of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and is backed by scientific studies showing its effectiveness in reducing current and future fears and worries for young children.”

Cool Kids Online

Cool Kids is an online program for children aged 7-12 years of age and their parents for all types of anxiety including general worry, separation anxiety, social anxiety, specific fears and panic.

Cool Kids Online is based on the Cool Kids face-to-face program which has been running at Macquarie University since 1993. Results show most young people who complete our program experience significant improvements, with decreases in worry, fear, family distress and life interference.”

 

Chilled Out

Chilled out is an online program with psychologist telephone support for 13-17-year-olds with anxiety. It includes a workbook for parents to work through as a mentor.
